Triona Pryor lives in Camden, Maine. She has just turned eighteen and graduation is fast approching when Caleb Wallace, a handsome and mysterious new resident, enters her life. They fall instantly in love and, despite the fact Caleb is hiding a secret, begin an intense relationship.
Caleb is a hundred and fifty years old. A descendant of a race of people that once populated Atlantis, he and his family are descended from Gods and live for hundreds of years. Known as Guardians, they were betrayed by one of their own and banished from their land by humans. Now, they live in secret. A law enforced by their council of leaders, and punishable by death forbids them to be mated to a human. Caleb knows it could cost one or both of their lives to be together.
When Triona discovers her own family has been hiding a secret for generations and she is thrown into the world of the Guardians and a fight to save both their families.

I knew from the beginning of the writing process that Triona would get to see more than her home
town during the course of the story. There are lots of locations mentioned and several that Triona
